Top perch is perfect size for 13 lb cat to sprawl out on or 11 lb and 13 lb to sit side by side. Not tippy at all. Great size for my intended space in front of a window for bird watching cats. Go to spot for naps in the sun.I've avoided cat trees with enclosures for a number of years now. Our cats love hiding places. But almost all the cat trees we've seen over the last two years are built for kittens... or are extremely expensive. But both condos in this unit are large enough for even our 12-lb+ male. And the roost on top gives him plenty of room to spread out.The design here is fairly clever. Instead of solid boxes, the condos have a solid top and bottom... and stretchy fabric on all four sides. You bolt four posts in place to give them shape. This makes it a bit of a challenge to assemble the condos. You have to work blind to insert the bolts into the posts. But it makes the unit lighter overall and more compact for shipping. My only other complaint is assembling by the instructions means the 2nd door in the upper condo is blocked by the post used to support the top level. For smaller cats, this won't be a problem, but I don't think our two larger cats could make use of this door as designed.I considered re-orienting the upper condo, but our only good location choice would block the door completely. If you have a more open space, rotating the upper condo 90° should give you two fully functional entrances. One important point to note about assembly: The two short bolts are for use at the two points where you tie two flat boards together. The parts list indicates you have two short bolts, but you have to figure out on your own where they go. So don't just grab the next bolt & use it. Separate out the short bolts first. There are only two points where you tie two boards together. These short bolts will fit in any location... but no other bolts will fit where they're intended. So far, we're very happy with this cat tree. It's not fancy, but it's sturdy. And, as I said, it's one of the few affordable units we've seen proportioned for adult cats.A little difficult while installing, but I think I might have just gotten one that had a hole an inch or so off, so don't expect to get one and have difficulty. It was relatively easy other than literally just one hole.Very cute, and can accommodate large cats, which was my biggest concern.Awesome price.Because I wasn’t willing to pay the high price at the pet store, I went this route. Totally worth it. Even though the instructions (or lack there of) were wrong, it was easy to figure out. It’s a good size with plenty of places for the cats. It’s super soft and it’s a nice color. This is a great cat tower! It was is so easy to put together! My cat just loves it!It’s okay, the instructions were terrible.. not bad for the price though. It took a while to put together but my 18 lbs cat likes it. One down side is he isn’t a great jumper so he is a bit nervous jumping to the top platform. I normally pick him up and put him there. Good value for the price.I wish I could give this less than one star. First, the correct pieces were not sent. The boards/boxes were reversed so the holes for the screws were in the wrong places. To make it work, at least sort of, I had to twist it and maneuver it in a way that it should not be and looks ridiculous. It does not attach all together because the one hole to put the one huge screw through to attach it all together was NOT THERE!! I don't have a drill, i'm an old woman. I now have to go to home depot and find things to try to get this thing fixed so I can use it and move it around, because right now - after it took me hours and hours to try to get it to work - all falls apart when I try to pick it up. I would return it, but it would be too much trouble to take it all apart. What I really want to do is throw it away, but I don't want to waste my precious $54.00. Shame on the manufacturers of this piece of crap! Don't buy it!!!
